"I enjoyed the programme as it has given me an insight into college life and I would highly recommend to students at my school as I have taken away some valuable college and life skills"

Scholars Ireland launched in 2018 in partnership with the Trinity Access 21 project at Trinity College Dublin. The Trinity Access 21 project (TA21) supports post-secondary educational progression by partnering with schools to develop strong ‘college going cultures’ and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

TA21 focuses on the use of four ‘core practices’: 1. Pathways to college; 2. Mentoring; 3. Leadership throughservice, and; 4. 21st centurty teaching and learning.

The aim of TA21 is to build capacity within partner schools so that all students are informed and prepared to make post-secondary educational choices which will support them to realise their full educational potential.

TA21 partners with AccessEd to deliver Scholars Ireland. The programme is designed to give pupils an authentic experience of university. From being taught by PhD tutors, to studying undergraduate- style topics with a unique subject coursebook and going on campus visits, Scholars Ireland aims to break down barriers to university.
