Programmes Global Scholars Programme We work with university partners worldwide to build university access programmes in their region or country to respond to help bridge the gap for underrepresented young people. The programme model uses the time of your post-graduates to offer a special tutoring intervention for 10-18 year-olds, supporting their journey to higher education. In 2020 and beyond we are also going to be working with UK universities to link them into our global programmes to support cross-cultural opportunities and increase best-practice sharing. Current projects support access programmes in Botswana, South Africa, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Ireland. International Academic Seminar Programme Access to top universities is very competitive, and students are often required to demonstrate how they have gone above and beyond the school curriculum. The ASP allows students to do this, with short, challenging courses that are based on cutting-edge PhD research. Each ASP course consists of a series of six seminars exclusively designed and delivered by academic supervisors based at UK universities. All academic supervisors are working towards a PhD, or will have completed one. Seminars are based on the academic supervisor’s own PhD research expertise. The programme is delivered to small groups, replicating teaching at a research-intensive university, with an extended final assignment, and personalised academic advice in a one-to-one feedback supervision. Research-Based Curriculum Programme We work with UK universities on their widening participation strategy through digital innovation projects and special curriculum boosters focusing on state schools and students that are harder to engage. This work primarily takes part in the UK but is open to international universities interested in helping under-supported schools and students better access their content, expertise and create strengthened access programmes. Our main programme produces digital curriculum-linked coursebooks, written by PhD researchers. Researcher Development Training Programme Our Researcher and Undergraduate Development Programmes support retention and student success through targeted professional development courses on international, social and professional leadership. These can be offered to boost your existing package, or as a full package in itself. Our series of courses that range from International Student Excellence to Social Impact and Leadership to Employability Skills; we have entire curricula or packages of themed courses that help increase student confidence, skills and ability to have social impact post-degree. Courses are delivered by a team of experienced professionals with backgrounds in working with world-leading private sector, political and non-governmental organisations combined with international university student training experience.
