AccessEd is excited to present the Scholars Ireland 2020-21 Impact Report!

"The programme is a fantastic opportunity for students to start thinking about their future and to recognise that college is a possibility for them. Students are instilled with confidence and self-worth." - Teacher at St Joseph’s Secondary School

Our fifth programme cohort supported 283 Second Year, Transition Year and Fifth Year students from 18 Dublin-area schools that are linked with Trinity Access Programmes (TAP) amid the Covid-19 global pandemic.

Data snapshot

With the commitment of 24 PhD tutors that were trained and placed to deliver university-style tutorials, we observed students increase evaluation scores across our four key competencies that support access to university, including university readiness.

In addition to the above, feedback received from both PhD tutors and teachers indicate that the transition to an online delivery model due to Covid-19 was well received.

The results outlined in the impact report highlight the flexibility of the Scholars Ireland programme model. We now look forward to planning the Scholars Ireland 2021-22 programme!

"I enjoyed how I learnt more about a specific topic I would not have considered as a choice of study, which has opened new possibilities to future interest." - Student at Mercy Secondary School
