New Chief Executive AccessEd is announcing today that it has appointed education charity leader Ashley Hodges as its first chief executive to lead the organisation into an ambitious new growth phase. Ashley was previously Chief Executive of the charity Speakers for Schools, which she helped to launch and lead since 2011. Speakers for Schools was founded by Robert Peston to create a committed network of today’s leaders to invest in the next generation. The charity improves access to top opportunities to level the playing field for under-served young people in state schools across the UK. New Chief Executive Ashley Hodges has said: “I am thrilled to be joining AccessEd at this exciting time in its development and growth. Fairer access to the best education and resources is critical to supporting young people in their potential and future. It will be fantastic work with our inspiring partners across the world to tackle how we can help create even more pathways to higher education and support educators in building programmes that reach the young people who need it the most”. Co-Founder and Chair of the Board, Simon Coyle has said: “Ashley’s arrival marks an exciting new phase in AccessEd’s development. Our work is based on a proven model in the UK and we are passionate about sharing our expertise and resources to support edu-preneurs overseas. Ashley is an outstanding leader who brings a great energy and a wealth of experience to the role. I am looking forward to working with her to take AccessEd to the next level.” To view a press release on the news, please click here.
