Why these Guides are Important

There are over 130 universities across the length and breadth of the UK, each with its own unique culture and benefits. Exploring what these different universities offer is an important step in deciding where you might like to apply later on. We have brought together the three essential areas to explore when considering options:

Getting to know - To ensure that you have a great university experience, it is important to research not just the right course but also the right university and the right location for you.

Getting in - There is a range of support available to help you get into university, including gaining experience to boost your application, as well as financial and practical support to remove barriers.

Getting on - To make the most of the university experience and your degree, as you plan your UCAS application we also recommend that you begin to think about life as a student and as a graduate.

When you Should Use these Guides

You should use these guides app during the 'Explore' step. You might find them interesting any time from Year 9 onwards, but they are primarily aimed at students in Year 12 and 13 who are in the process of selecting universities to apply for.
